Getting the most out of Typesy

Hi

I’ve just signed up for a free trial and debating weather to continue or not. I do like it but i think it would be better if it gave a bit more feedback on what keys i’m struggling with and lessons to focus on. I know there’s the keyboard knowledge heat map but i don’t really find this useful. I am doing the Typsey Professional course at the moment and working my way through each course but whilst i AM finishing them I’m not mastering them. Is it best to repeat the same ones until i feel confident in those particular letters? I don’t want to just keep continuing on when i still don’t feel completely sure about what I’ve just done. I’ve tried other courses that had you going over the same letters over again until you make no mistakes and hit a certain number of letters per minute, then when you felt confident you would move on. Unfortunately those aren’t available now.

Any help would be appreciated, I just want to get the most out of the program

Thanks

Nic

Thank you for sharing this with us, Nic!

Typesy’s lessons is meant to be repetitve, to allow users to comprehend and get more comfortable with the keyboard.

To answer your question, yes! You can definitely take the lessons again, if you feel like you’re not at your best after completing it. Repetition also plays a big role to mastering any task or skill, so what I suggest is learn at your own pace.

Simply hover your mouse over a completed level, then click on review. You can also select “start again” in that same menu, if you want to have a new progress saved.

I’d also like to share a feature for Typesy that you can utilize for your practice sessions: How do I change the contents used in the games and activities?
