Hi,
As we move into a world where technology and communication are continually evolving, typing is more important than ever! Nothing is handwritten anymore. As adults, we understand the importance of skilled typing for a better future, but our children might not realize it. We know they love their gaming consoles and touch tablets, but touch typing might not be a skill they regularly practice.Best Regards,

Hello there, @kamronbooth!
The short answer: YES!
Given the amount of time we will spend typing over a lifetime, a mastery of touch typing will ensure you spend this time efficiently and safely. Going through the process of learning touch typing - instead of, say, continuing to hunt-and-peck or developing your own technique - will ensure you learn the most time-effective and physically responsible method.
Thinking about the time saved over a lifetime with touch typing may be enough to convince you of its merits. But it really is important to consider the physical effects of long term misuse of the keyboard. It’s crucial to develop good habits to avoid any potential for long term damage.
