Is practicing how to touch type worth the time?

Touch typing is a skill that most people don’t seem to bother learning, but for those who are using computer on a daily basis, is it really necessary?

Is your work connected with a lot of typing?

If so, it is worth it to learn to touch-type properly. This is especially true if you’re typing on a regular, day-to-day basis. Once you’ve decided to invest some extra time in learning to type with the proper touch-type method, you can practice your newly-developed skills at work during your regular workday.

Don’t worry if you don’t see immediate results. Touch-typing is a skill that takes time to fully develop. However, it is also one that improves over time even after mastering the basics. With the average American spending about eleven hours each day in front of some kind of screen, you will theoretically have plenty of time to practice and improve your typing skills.

Even if you don’t work regularly with computers, learning and routinely practicing touch-typing can be beneficial to you in your hobbies and other extracurricular activities.

I think that learning how to type is necessary because of the world we live in.
