I have a question about Typesy

Is transdisciplinary approach applicable in touch typing?

Hi!

The transdisciplinary approach is directly applicable to teaching typing. After students have mastered the initial home positions, they need to practice by typing complete words and sentences. If these typing exercises include content that helps link ideas across disciplines, students engage in powerful learning on two levels at once.

Absolutely! The transdisciplinary possibilities are endless. As Arella says, through typing, students are able to connect and explore ideas across multiple subjects at once. This flexibility is able to heighten academic thinking as well as engage students by incorporating whatever might make them inspired.

Typing skills can be enforced in stand alone activities or by adding keyboarding into core curricula already in place. Any assignment involving the use of computers can easily serve as a chance to review and reinforce good typing habits. Typesy has over 2,500 common-core standards-based lessons, so your students will be learning to type while engaging in fun, differentiated lessons in science, social studies, ELA, and math.
