In touch typing, do your fingers always touch home row or do they float?
Hi,
It depends whether your hands need to take some rest. You don’t have to be so strict with it. Just follow where you are comfortable.

Hi Elsie,
In touch typing your fingers always come back to home row after you type a key. They should rest lightly on the home row keys. Use the notches on the J and F key as a guide for your finger position on the home row. Resting them lightly on the keyboard will keep them ready to move, quickly and efficiently to oher keys.
