Will the program always need internet connection when we use it?

Yes. The program needs internet connection since it is now cloud-based. What progress you made in your PC will automatically be saved and you can continue working on your progress in a different device.

Typesy is available across most devices and platforms and the only things needed are a device and an internet connection. Without internet, your kids will not be able to access their account.
For these times, consider having a few non-digital activities prepared to keep them practicing. If they are far enough in their progress, simply setting aside time to practice the act of typing - just on a word document, typing anything at all - is better than nothing. Just make sure they’re confident in their finger positionings to ensure you’re not accidentally reinforcing bad habits.
