Hi, I am a programmer. Do I really need to learn touch typing?

I think everybody should learn touch typing because it helps you become more efficient when doing a typing task. I even used a typing program called Typesy to increase my WPM even though I am not a programmer.

I agree with @Arella the act of learning to type is essential l feel for a programmer. For example if you can do your job faster than another person due to typing speed that’s definitely for me a key thing to look for if employing an individual.
