Right-handed problems

I am right handed so how can I train both my hands to perform equally when typing?

Hi Jordan,

One way to equalize the abilities of your hand is to use your left hand for things you’re accustomed to using your right hand for. Hold your toothbrush in your left hand. Use your left hand to brush your hair, or point out the window, or dial the numbers on the telephone. It will seem awkward at first, but as your mind forms stronger connections between the actions and the nerve impulses, it will be easier.

Hi there!

Touch typing refers to a style of typing that uses a sense of touch rather than sight. You will be practicing typing through structured repetition. Over time, you will strengthen muscle memory in both hands, learning which fingers to use for each key based on hand placement. This becomes automatic overtime for both hands, no matter which is dominant for you. Good luck!
