I purchased typesy from Amazon on 2016. When I tried to open it now, it says my account has expired.

For Amazon purchases, please contact them about your purchase to check for more info whether it’s perpetual or 3 years. To our knowledge, they offered the same 3 years subscription period. Also checked the listing on their site as well and it indicates 3 years. But we’d recommend you contact Amazon to make sure. Thanks.
