Hi Antonio,

Yes, a 60 WPM typing speed is excellent given that you have a good accuracy level too.

Most people have an average speed of 45 WPM. There are many benefits that fast touch typing skills can bring. Touch typing is a skill that anyone can use. Whether you’re looking for an edge over your competition – like when you’re applying for entry level positions or you’re ready to climb the career ladder – or simply wishing to be more efficient on the computer in general, the ability to touch type quickly and accurately can help you get the most out of your keyboard time.

When you know how to touch type, you don’t need to look. Your fingers will know where to go to find the correct letters, numbers and symbols because you’ve properly trained them to recall the correct keyboard location from memory.

Hello, @antoniokidd!

In general, the average typist can type 45 WPM, maintaining an accuracy rate around 92%, or about 8 mistakes per 100 words. That means you are definitely _above_ average!

Make sure you’re utilizing good habits when typing to avoid any long term damage from misuse, but it sounds like you are _more_ than good enough!
