Does Typesy follow the Common Core standard in touch typing?

Hi,

For content guidance, you may check Common Core Standard for each grade level here: (insert image from the email)

Hello, @arjunknights!

The common core standards do not really specify _how_ to teach keyboarding or which skills should be earned by which grade. The standards are meant to be open guidelines rather than prescriptions.

What the standards _do_ dictate is that keyboarding is deemed an essential skill. As the world continues to rely more heavily on technology, the ability to type has now become a necessary skill for any and all entering the 21st-century workforce.

The common core standards may not give you a roadmap to teaching typing, but luckily there are programs like Typesy, designed to ensure your learners meet and exceed the standards set for them. Typesy has over 2,500 common-core standards-based lessons, so your students will be learning to type while engaging in fun, differentiated lessons in science, social studies, ELA, and math.
