(Guide #1 for Homeschool) Basics on how to get started

Hi everyone! This is a 3 part guide that I made on how to get started with using Typesy Homeschool. For School accounts, kindly scroll down to part 1 to start.

After purchasing the program, you’ll be sent your purchase email that also contains your activation code (sometimes, it’s not visible, so don’t hesitate to contact our Helpdesk where we’ll definitely be there to assist you.) and instructions on how you can activate your subscription. It should be in your inbox. If not, kindly also check your spam folder.

Once you have activated your account, you’ll be redirected to the Admin interface. This is an indication that you are the Admin, which is the very first account that you’ll be creating wherein you will be managing everything for your soon-to-be-students.

Everything we will be doing will be done in the Admin interface.

PART 1
First, head over to the Admin interface (Click on the blue link): Typesy and from the homescreen, click on Add a User

A new window will pop up. Here, you can put in the First name, Last name and have the option to have the system set a Username and a temporary password for their log in. After that, just click on add to finish.

PART 2
Since you already created a student account for them, we can move to creating a class. From the Admin interface, click on Create class.

Fill in the information for your class, and then click on Create class to finish.

PART 3
Next, click on Classes located on the left hand side of your screen. Select the class you created. Click on the Curriculum tab, and click on Assign curriculum

You may also view the age group, and other information regarding a course when you hover your mouse over it. Clicking on info & preview will provide a more detailed information about the course.

And lastly. to add students to the class you created, simply click on the Student tab and click on Enroll Students. You may either select existing users to the class and click on Enroll students, or you may also add & enroll a new user.

If the student will be using their account on the same device, kindly sign out from the Admin account first and have them sign in using their username/email and password. They will be able to see the curriculum you added to their class.

Also, here is a link to our training videos that can help guide you though getting started as well: Typesy | Touch Typing & Keyboarding Software & App

That’s about it! I’ll be making more guides in the future, so if you have any questions, or if you want to request a guide for one of our programs, just comment down below and I’ll create one for you to use.

Have a wonderful day everyone!
